1. About This Privacy Policy
Mood Games OÜ, an Estonian company with its registered address at Veskiposti tn 2-1002, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn, 10138 Harju maakond, Estonia (“Mood Games,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), develops and publishes mobile games.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with our website, games, customer support, and related services that link to this policy (the “Services”). It describes the information involved, why it is used, who may receive it, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.
Mood Games is the data controller where we determine the purposes and means of processing personal information. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@mood.games.
Our games differ in their features, platforms, and publishing arrangements. References below to accounts, purchases, social features, advertising, and other optional functions apply only where those functions are available in the Service you use. This policy does not mean that every game collects every category of information described below.
This policy is an explanation of our practices, not a request for consent. Using the Services does not, by itself, provide consent to processing for which separate consent is required.
2. Games Published With Other Companies
We publish games ourselves and also work with publishing partners, including Supersonic and Lion Studios. A publishing partner may operate a game, integrate its own service providers, and determine how information is processed for its publishing activities.
For a partner-published game, please also review the privacy notice linked within that game or its app store listing. Our partners’ notices are available here:
This policy covers processing for which Mood Games is responsible. Where we process information solely on a publisher’s instructions, we assist that publisher with privacy requests as required. Where we act as a controller in our own right, our responsibilities remain with us. You may contact us if you are unsure which company should handle a request.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
- Support and correspondence: Your email address, the contents of your messages, and information you provide to help us resolve an issue, such as a player identifier or screenshot.
- Account and profile information: Where a game offers accounts or profiles, information you choose or are asked to provide for that feature, such as a player name, email address, profile image, and authentication information.
- Social features and feedback: Where available, messages, reviews, survey responses, or other content you submit. Information you choose to post publicly, such as a leaderboard name or public message, can be visible to other users. Public availability does not remove our obligations under data-protection law.
- Privacy requests and choices: Information needed to record your choices, locate relevant records, verify a request where necessary, and respond to you.
Please do not include payment card details, identity documents, health information, or other sensitive information in routine support correspondence.
3.2 Information Collected Through the Services
Depending on the Service, its integrations, and your privacy choices, we and our providers may process:
- Technical information: IP address, device model, operating system, browser type, language, time zone, app version, and network information.
- Identifiers: Player IDs, installation or app-instance identifiers, cookie identifiers, and advertising identifiers such as Apple’s IDFA or Android’s Advertising ID, where available and permitted.
- Gameplay and usage information: Sessions, progression, interactions, levels attempted or completed, in-game events, and use of particular features.
- Diagnostics: Crash reports, error logs, loading times, and other information about performance and reliability.
- Advertising and campaign information: Ad impressions, clicks, rewarded-ad completion events, and information used to attribute installations or in-game events to advertising campaigns.
- Approximate location: Country or region inferred from an IP address.
- Website activity: Pages visited, interactions with the website, and referring pages or campaigns.
3.3 Information From Other Sources
App stores and payment providers may provide transaction identifiers, purchase receipts, product details, and purchase or refund status. When an app store processes a purchase, your payment details are handled under that store’s privacy policy; we receive the information needed to validate and fulfil the transaction rather than your full payment card details.
Where third-party sign-in is available and you choose to use it, the sign-in provider supplies information permitted by that flow and your settings, such as an account identifier, email address, or profile details. Publishing, advertising, and analytics partners may supply relevant usage, performance, and campaign information.
3.4 Aggregated and De-identified Information
We may use aggregated statistics to understand game performance and player behaviour. Information is treated as anonymous only when individuals are no longer reasonably identifiable. A device identifier, hashed identifier, or record without a name may still be personal information. The protections in this policy continue to apply to such information.
4. Why We Use Information and Our Legal Bases
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information on the following bases, according to the purpose and circumstances:
- Providing requested Services — performance of a contract: Operating games, maintaining progression, providing available account or cloud-save functions, delivering purchases or rewards, and resolving support requests where necessary to provide the service you request.
- Security and reliability — legitimate interests: Diagnosing failures, preventing fraud and misuse, protecting users and our systems, and maintaining reliable Services.
- Improvement and measurement — consent or legitimate interests: Understanding usage, assessing performance, testing features, balancing gameplay, and measuring campaigns. We rely on consent where required for the relevant analytics or tracking activity. Otherwise, we rely on legitimate interests only where that processing is lawful and proportionate.
- Advertising — consent where required: Delivering and measuring advertisements and, where permitted by your choices, personalising ads. Limited contextual advertising, measurement, or fraud-prevention activities may rely on legitimate interests only where applicable law permits and does not require consent.
- Communications — consent, contract, or legitimate interests as appropriate: Responding to enquiries and sending necessary service messages; sending optional promotional communications where available and legally permitted, with consent where required.
- Compliance and legal claims — legal obligations or legitimate interests: Keeping required records, responding to privacy requests and valid legal demands, and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
Our legitimate interests include providing reliable games, improving their quality, preventing abuse, and operating our business responsibly. Those interests must be balanced against your rights. They do not replace consent where consent is required.
Information necessary to deliver a requested feature or resolve a request may be needed for that purpose. If you choose not to provide it, the relevant feature or assistance may be unavailable. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
5. Advertising, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Our Services may use software development kits (SDKs), cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for operation, diagnostics, analytics, advertising, and campaign measurement. The providers and configurations may differ between games, platforms, and versions.
Advertising networks and mediation providers help deliver advertisements, including rewarded ads. Subject to applicable permissions and choices, advertising partners may combine identifiers and activity information with information from other apps or websites to select relevant advertisements. Analytics and attribution providers help assess how games are used and how players discover them.
Where an activity requires consent or platform permission, that requirement applies before the activity takes place. This includes applicable requirements for optional cookies or SDK tracking and Apple’s App Tracking Transparency requirements. Calling an advertisement “non-personalised” does not necessarily mean no personal information is processed.
You may use available device, browser, and in-Service controls to manage permissions and advertising choices. You can also contact support@mood.games to withdraw consent or object to relevant processing by us. Contact us with the game name if you would like information about the providers involved in that game.
Browser settings can block or delete cookies, and device settings may allow you to restrict tracking or reset or delete an advertising identifier. These actions may not delete information already held by us or others. Choices may need to be exercised separately for different browsers and devices. Opting out of personalised advertising does not necessarily stop all advertisements.
6. When We Disclose Information
We disclose relevant information for the purposes described in this policy to the following categories of recipients:
- Technical and operational providers: Hosting, storage, diagnostics, analytics, security, and customer-support providers, to support the relevant function.
- Advertising and measurement partners: Advertising networks, mediation platforms, and attribution providers, for ad delivery, campaign measurement, and fraud prevention, subject to applicable privacy choices.
- Publishing partners: Where relevant to a partner-published game, for operating the game, resolving technical issues, and assessing or improving performance.
- App stores and connected platforms: Where needed for purchases, authentication, or a feature you choose to use.
- Advisers and authorities: Where reasonably necessary for professional advice, compliance with law, protection of rights or safety, or legal proceedings.
- Business transaction participants: Where necessary in a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or transfer of our business, subject to applicable safeguards.
Processors handling information on our behalf are subject to appropriate contractual requirements. Some recipients, including certain publishers, advertising partners, app stores, and sign-in providers, act as independent controllers for their own processing. Their policies explain their responsibilities and your choices. We remain responsible for our own disclosures and other processing.
7. International Processing
Mood Games is established in Estonia. Depending on the Service and provider involved, information may also be processed in other countries where our personnel, publishing partners, or service providers operate. Their data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. Access from another country may also constitute an international transfer.
Where applicable law restricts international transfers, a lawful transfer mechanism is required. Depending on the destination and recipient, this may be an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, with relevant UK or Swiss adaptations and additional measures where needed. Transfers subject to Turkish law must also meet the applicable requirements of Law No. 6698.
Using our Services is not blanket consent to international transfers. Contact support@mood.games for information about the destinations and safeguards relevant to your data and to request a copy of applicable safeguards, subject to necessary redactions.
8. Retention and Deletion
Retention depends on the category of information and its purpose. We use the following criteria:
- Gameplay and account information: Whether it remains necessary to provide the game, maintain progression, or preserve access to purchased content, taking account of inactivity and deletion requests.
- Analytics, advertising, and diagnostic records: The period needed for the relevant analysis, measurement, troubleshooting, or security investigation, taking account of whether identifiable records remain necessary.
- Support correspondence: The time needed to resolve the enquiry, address related follow-up matters, and handle applicable disputes.
- Transaction and legal records: Applicable accounting, tax, recordkeeping, and legal-claim requirements.
- Consent and privacy-request records: The time needed to give effect to your choices and demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements.
Information is deleted or irreversibly anonymised when no longer needed for a lawful purpose. Limited information may be retained to comply with law, address fraud, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Residual backup copies may remain until the applicable backup cycle completes and must remain protected and restricted from ordinary use.
To request deletion, email support@mood.games. Uninstalling a game does not itself request deletion of information held on servers. Deleting an account or related records may remove progression and access to associated virtual items. We explain any legally justified retention exceptions when responding to your request.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Learn whether we process your personal information and receive information about its use and disclosure.
- Access your information and obtain a portable copy where applicable.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion or restriction of processing.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation, and object to direct marketing at any time.
- Withdraw consent for processing based on consent.
- Exercise applicable rights relating to solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
- Complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Send requests to support@mood.games. Please provide the game name, your request, and your player identifier if available. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to locate your records or verify your identity, but you do not need to create an account solely to make a request.
We respond within the period required by applicable law. Under the GDPR, this is generally within one month, with a permitted extension for complex or numerous requests; we will explain any such extension within the initial period. If an exception prevents us from fulfilling a request, we explain the reason and applicable complaint options.
You can contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate through www.aki.ee, or another competent authority, including in your country of residence where applicable. You do not have to contact us before exercising a right to complain.
Where promotional emails or push notifications are offered, you can unsubscribe using the instructions in the email, contact us, or disable notifications in your device settings. Necessary service communications may continue.
10. Additional Regional Rights
10.1 United States
Where an applicable U.S. state privacy law covers our processing, residents may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal information; obtain details about recipients; and opt out of sale, sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Rights concerning sensitive information may also apply.
Information described in Section 3 may fall within statutory categories such as identifiers, commercial information, internet or electronic-network activity, approximate geolocation, and account or correspondence information. Sources, purposes, recipients, and retention criteria are described in Sections 3 through 8.
Disclosure of identifiers, device information, and activity data to advertising partners may qualify as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under these laws even where no money is exchanged. The legal classification depends on the actual processing and applicable law.
To exercise applicable rights, including opting out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising by Mood Games, email support@mood.games. You may use “Privacy Opt-Out” as the subject line, but specific wording is not required. Available platform privacy controls may offer additional choices. Browser-based opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, may also have legal effect under applicable law; a browser signal does not necessarily transmit your choice to a separate mobile app.
Where permitted, an authorised agent may act for you, subject to appropriate verification of their authority. We do not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Where your state provides a right of appeal, you can appeal a decision by replying to our response or emailing us with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. We respond within the applicable deadline and explain further complaint options where required.
California residents may also request information about disclosures for third parties’ own direct marketing under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, where applicable. Additional restrictions and consent requirements apply to the sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising use of minors’ information under applicable law.
10.2 Türkiye
Where Turkish Law No. 6698 applies, you may request information about whether your personal data is processed, its purposes, and domestic or overseas recipients; request correction or erasure or destruction where the legal conditions are met; request notification of those actions to recipients; object to an adverse result produced solely through automated analysis; and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Information is collected electronically through the Services, their integrations, and your communications. As applicable to the particular activity, the legal grounds include necessity for a contract, legal obligations, the establishment or protection of a right, legitimate interests that do not override your fundamental rights, or explicit consent where required. Consent is not inferred from your use of the Services.
Contact us at the email or postal address in Section 14 to exercise these rights, using a method meeting applicable statutory requirements. Requests under Law No. 6698 are addressed as soon as possible and within 30 days. Applicable rights to complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board remain available.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information without a lawful basis and any authorisation required by applicable law. We do not routinely ask players to provide their age.
If you believe a child has provided personal information in circumstances requiring parental authorisation, please contact support@mood.games. If we learn that information has been collected unlawfully, we take appropriate steps to stop that processing and delete the information, subject to legal requirements.
For teenagers, applicable local rules may require parental authorisation, restrict targeted advertising or data sharing, or provide other protections. These requirements continue to apply regardless of a game’s content rating. A store age rating does not constitute consent to personal-information processing.
12. Security and Third-Party Services
We take technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved. No system or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Where a personal-data breach triggers notification duties, we notify relevant authorities and affected individuals as required by law.
The Services may link to third-party websites, platforms, or services. Their independent processing is governed by their own privacy notices. Please review those notices when choosing to use a linked service. This does not limit our obligations for personal information processed or disclosed by Mood Games.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our Services, processing, or legal requirements. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Where required, we provide additional notice of material changes and obtain consent before introducing processing that requires it. Continued use of the Services is not a substitute for that consent.
